Corporations dodge paying Pennsylvania taxes through various means. For example, one way they avoid taxes is through the “Delaware Loophole”, which allows businesses incorporated in Delaware to offload their profits in Delaware without paying taxes. These are taxes to which the state is normally entitled, but which cannot be claimed because of the lack of political will to do so.

Incidentally, Senator Greg Rothman’s friends at PA Data Center Partners - the ones who are making the PAX-1 hyperscale data center in Middlesex Township - are incorporated in Delaware.

I have no such conflicts - I will happily support the closure of these loopholes to help fund our state’s priorities and provide working people with the tax relief they require.
